You Get Out What You Put In!

The excellence of our children's educational experience is paramount, and we are lucky our children attend such an amazing school. Rio del Mar Elementary would not be the school it is without support from our families.

The Parent Alliance is responsible, in a normal year, for raising close to ​$100,000 through donations, fundraising activities, and rebate programs. These funds help pay for enrichment programs for students and teachers, yard duty staff, Scholastic Readers & Studies Weekly consumables, math workbooks, technology, teacher supplies, staff development, credentialed reading intervention teachers, our school library, and much more. This COVID year, our fundraising goal is $40,000 to cover our reduced expenses.

Every “normal” year we host both community (e.g., Run for Rio, Harvest Festival) and fundraising events (e.g., See’s Candy, Spring Auction) to enrich our children's school experience. These events are not possible without the support of many volunteers. 


With the cancelation of most of our events this year, fostering community is more important than ever. This year’s volunteer opportunities will look different, and we still need your support.
